Global Student Programmes

The Centre for Global Education and Opportunities and our suite of Global Student Programmes seek to nurture students into global-ready and
responsible citizens, equipped with skills to work more confidently in cross-cultural teams and settings, knowledge of societal
and global issues augmented by awareness of global interconnectedness, attitudes to appreciate and embrace different
cultures and perspectives, networks to harness in realising professional and social possibilities around the world.

Short-Term Study Programme (SSP)

SSPs are an effective way to immerse yourself in the experience of studying and living abroad for a shorter duration. They last for two to four weeks during the SMU term break between May and August, and allow you to transfer up to two credits towards your SMU degree programme.

Unlike ISEP, SSP fees are applicable.

Curated SSPs offer you the opportunity to participate in a programme, co-created by SMU and our partner universities, together with fellow SMU participants. Study and live abroad with the convenience of a pre-arranged programme, courses and accommodation. One such example is our curated SSP with Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
